## Transcript

I'm Sarah Hendrickson. I'm a ski jumper and this is my first Olympics. I started Alpine skiing at the age of 2 and my brother who was 3 years older than me started ski jumping when he was 8, so when I have watched him for about 2 years I kind of got sick of it and wanted to follow in his footsteps. So I decided to try ski jumping and instantly fell in love with it. It's a very unique sport. Watching those top guys fly a football field and a half in the air was pretty surreal so I wanted to do that and eventually be as good as them. I've taken about 12, 000 jumps in my life so it's definitely a routine.

I'm not thinking about everything that's going on because I can get a little hectic that I'm just thinking about the technical side of things and what I'm working on with each jump. I love the wind in my face, the feeling of exhilaration, you know, nerves, everything, dangers all wrapped into those couple of seconds, and you know I love every second of it and thrive for more. Success for me is just getting stronger everyday and continuing to make yourself a better person athletically, personally. I mean the jam about 4 to 6 hours each day 6 days a week and then going on at the gym I'm doing exercises at home to get strong again.

To represent my country especially in the Olympics stage, it's huge. I take huge pride in it and, you know, it'd be a dream come true.
