## Transcript

No, I love that. I love the idea that there is something different and unique about the process whereby a woman creates something. I think that's really important. Yeah, and then there's things they'll tell you in your various professional handbooks, like if you need to cry, go to your car. When you have the opposite I say it's a liability if you can't cry on a transparent set. Everybody's crying all the time. [ LAUGH ] We are. We're crying while we watch. We are and we feel things on the set. We get the chills. People get turned on. They cry. The things that women can bring to the set, which is the ability to connect with their feelings are actually a tool that allow a women to make content that can get to that place of feeling much quicker Then, people who are acting in the masculine principles.

What do you think it's gonna take to, swing the pendulum, I mean, [ CROSSTALK ] [ LAUGH ] [ UNKNOWN ] What's it gonna mean to change the **** and balls? [ LAUGH ] I mean is it gonna take more female show runners? Is it gonna take more female execs? More female studio heads? Actually, people do need to be called out and told to hire more women. I mean I used to say well men don't know, they're not doing it on purpose. I'm starting to think they're doing it on purpose. [ LAUGH ] Because I'm realizing that actually. Giving that privilege, the privilege of the protagonist. Sure .

>> Is really frightening to let go of. It's really scary to be the other. It's really scary to be seen. There's this thing called the divided feminine. Which is that women are divided in our culture. They're divided into the Madonna and the ****. The good girl and the bad girl. The heroes journey forces women on one side or the other. So we're asking what happens when we create and uncover the heroine's journey. Right. And the heroine's journey is actually, it's about repairing that divided feminine. And then the feminine can sort of, you know, balance the masculine, and raise the masculine to its own higher power.

And insist that we all rise. The way that women are divided by this kind of out of control masculinity and are competing for masculine attention is really stopping women from being their whole self. [ APPLAUSE ]
