[ MUSIC ] I think West Minister dogs show being the second in all sporting events is getting very popular. Whoever want it its known as American Dog. For the next year 2, 800 that are entered which is the maximum number. Approximately 2, 600 of those are champions already. They come from all 50 states and we have like 7 different countries where they come from. So you really have, that's why they call it American Dog Show because it's the most amount of champion show. And there's a lot of big winners that have competed all year To come to the Westminster and there's a lot a lot of top dogs your various breeds.

[ MUSIC ] We expect to have 203 breeds of dogs represented, at the end of the day all the best of breed go down and compete at Madison Square Garden night. Into our four respective groups, a hound group, toy group, non- sporting group and herding group. We have about 35 judges. Each one of them is recognized by the American Kennel Club in certain breeds. They judge those dogs to a standard. And they pick in their mind who the best representative is of that breed. [ MUSIC ] The thing that makes an Old English Sheep dog different is first off all the coat, it has a certain texture and it can't be curly but it can't be straight either, it's kinda be kind of It's suppose to have a big head.

It's suppose to have a big nose. They are suppose to be taller at the hip than they are in widther. So you can see that he's slant upward going that direction. And that helps him travel easily long distances. [ MUSIC ] This is Welsh Springer Spaniel. Their country of origin is Wales. The breeds standards say that they are rectangular dog. That means that they should have good confirmation to be able to reach and drag. So reach in the front and push of on the rear to flash birds and chase rabbits So their form follows their function. Their function is a hunter and they need to have good confirmation in order to do that.

[ MUSIC ] They are both [ UNKNOWN ]. In the confirmation showi ring, there's part that they can't train into them. They have to have A self- confidence. They're suppose to be a very proud breeds so when they walk, they hold their head up high and their tails are up. What would set the dogs apart from another one is their courage, you know, their sense of self because it's just like, it's a charisma type thing that draws a judges high [ MUSIC ].
