Samsung 7- inch Galaxy Tab Android tablet. This is the iPad killer everyone's been talking about. Let's take a closer look at it, but make sure to check out the full review on techland. com. So, is this the iPad killer? Why does the iPad need to die? Why does one gadget have to kill another gadget. Can't we have two tablets in the market? This is not gonna kill the iPad. It may take a shot at the iPad, and the iPad would say, " What are you doing? We're within the same neighborhood. We're on the same softball team. Why are you trying to shoot me ?" Things that are good. The screen. This-- the high- resolution screen is gorgeous, it's very responsive.

Web pages look very good in landscape mode. Portrait mode, they tend to get a little small. Battery life is off the charts. It lasts around 8 hours, depending on what you're doing. But you can-- you can literally watch multiple movies on this thing. And speaking of movies, movies look incredible. And last but not the least, games are phenomenal on a 7- inch screen versus a standard smartphone screen. As for cons, the big battery makes the device a little unwieldy. It's a little heavy. Some games don't scale correctly. This is basically a large- screen Android phone, so there aren't very many applications that have been designed to take advantage of the larger screens.

And the biggest con of them all, the price. It's very expensive-- $ 600 with no contract, $ 650 on AT & T. If you wanna get it subsidized, a couple of carriers are selling it for $ 400 with a two- year data plan. That puts you over $ 1, 000 when the dust settles. This is a great first product. It shows what-- what's capable on a 7- inch tablet, but it's just the beginning. If you have the money, go ahead. Must be nice. But even me, like I'm doing-- I mean, look at me. I got a wireless mouse. I mean, that's huge. I got a screw driver, that's many screw drivers in one. I mean clearly, I'm not hurting for money.

I'm drinking these little energy shots like they're not, but I'm just fine. I'm never low on hair gel. The expensive prescriptions, all these things. Like clearly, I'm doing great. But even I wouldn't spend $ 600 on this tablet. So.
