## Transcript

>> The exquisite Nina Sears. Is this for you or Natalie Portman? Will James Franco get to present himself an award? I'm Richard Corliss, a film critic for Time. And we're gonna look at this year's Oscar nominations and my humble predictions. Now, best actress, it's a week list this year. In my opinion none of the actresses deserves to be here except for Nicole Kidman.

>> He is God after all. Why didn't he just make another angel?

>> Who is quite impressive as a woman in deep grief over the death of her young son in Rabid Hole.

>> I think we're gonna go away.

>> But my opinion doesn't matter. This is Natalie Portman's award, the movie is about a ballerina who drives herself toward madness by devotion to her role, and the Academy loves that kind of obsessive devotion which Portman surely displayed in training six months for the part. Hard work from a beautiful young woman, that will get Natalie Portman her Oscar.
