[ MUSIC ] My first memory of the olympics is watching the 98 ICE Women's Hockey Team win a gold medal in Tokyo, Japan. Being a young hockey player, there wasn't a greater moment at the time for me. Just being able to look up to those girls, and what they accomplished From that day forward, I told everyone I knew I wanted to play Team USA one day. [ SOUND ] It's not easy to get [ INAUDIBLE ]. My gosh. How old are you? [ MUSIC ] I've never been to South Korea, so I think it will just be great to go see the country and Just getting over there, being on a huge stage. Obviously the Olympics is a pretty big stage.

And I think if I just go over there and kind of do everything that I've done to get me to this point, I think I'll be, it'll be all right. Just coming back with a gold medal, you know? See the girls first. You don't have to show me, I know. I'm gonna show you. [ MUSIC ] [ LAUGH ] It is an absolutely fantastic time to be a female athlete. I am so proud to be one and I think women are amazing and powerful and strong and on a team of 22 other really stong powerful. Determined women. It's such an honor to be a part of our team right now. It's an incredible group of women that work so hard day in and day out.

And you know we're doing whatever we can to be successful at the Olympics. I like that. All right. Looking good. I think the Olympic movement in general brings people together in peace and that's one of the greatest things I love about. Being a part of the Olympics. It's about so much more than each individual or each sport or each country. And when you're there you realize where you are and what you're representing. It's an incredible feeling. [ MUSIC ]
