## Transcript

I've never had any problems with the Turkish authorities before. This has come out of the blue completely. There's never been a reason given to me for why my accreditation request has been denied. So I'm forced now to leave the country today, but that doesn't mean that I I will stop working and that I will stop writing about her. The German government has asked the Turkish government to explain the reasons behind that they've never given any explanation on any level. It's the attempt to put pressure on international media after Fred Maroudas worked with the national media. Which are silenced. If it comes to critical reporting, then I'm trying to put pressure on international media as well.

I think that they just chose some examples. So I happen to be one of these examples with which they try to put pressure on the others as well. Hoping to influence our reporting probably, but I don't think that is going to work. And in the end, I think it will cause more damage to Turkey than it will cause to my station or to myself.
