Ansel Elgort has definitely been making his mark on Hollywood lately. He won us all over as Gus in the 2014 romantic drama The Fault In Our Stars. And he's currently promoting his newest movie, the highly anticipated action flick, Insurgent. But, even though Ansel is pretty famous at this point, he told Jimmy Fallon his Mother still doesn't know anything about the biz. Case in point, this hilarious story about Mama Elgort meeting Bruce Willis at an Oscars party. They were introduced and my Mom said, oh hi what's your name? He said, I'm Bruce. [ LAUGH ]. And she said well, what do you do? Your wife's a model.

[ LAUGH ]. He said I'm an actor. She said, oh my son's an actor. [ LAUGH ] How's it, how's it going for you? Yes, Ansel's mom had no idea who Bruce Willis was. And she did the same thing for Steve Carell the other day. For shame. In fact, Ansel says she doesn't even like to watch movies at all. Come on, Mom, really? But at least his fans on Twitter were loving the story calling his momma hilarious, adorable, and ridiculous. Well, hopefully Ansel's mother will at least watch Insurgent when it comes out. The film is set to hit theaters March 20th
