[ MUSIC ] I think the key financial challenge that faces our veterans is when someone comes off of military service and enters the civilian world. Of course securing that first good job. And so what we try to do is, before our people leave active duty or leave our military and enter the civilian world We put them through a program called the transition assistance program. This is a program which of several days duration. It is mandatory for all of our people. And they exposure to a lot of different elements of what they're going to face in the civilian world. They also get a lot of information About carrying forward their benefits such as the G.

I. Bill. We remind them about the benefits that they have accrued and how to use those benefits once they get into civilian life. We educate also on the various benefits that the Veterans Administration can provide to them. And then we talk about issues ranging from How to develop a resume, translate their skills from the miliary into civilian- speak and plain English so that they can secure that first new job. In the military, not only do we provide what we call basic pay, but we also provide in some cases housing, or it could be a housing allowance. We sometimes provide food, or it could be separate food allowance.

We try to prepare our people who have been in military life, and about to leave us and go into civilian life. About how to manage all those factors, and how to manage the paycheck and possibly the bonus, but still be able to acquire the different services they will need for themselves and their family.
