[ BLANK_AUDIO ] This is what Danielle Jones looked like before a roommate she found on Craigslist brutally attacked her, according to police. We warn you, the pictures you are about to see, are disturbing. This is what Jones looks like now, after being repeatedly slashed and beaten on her 23rd birthday. Her family released these pictures to protest the attack, and to raise money for her medical care, through this Gofundme page. Police say this is the man who attacked her. Byron Mitchell who answered Jones' ad on Craigslist for a roommate. Mitchell claims he beat Jones in self- defense after she came at him with a knife.

He has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.
