If you're traveling to or from the East Coast for the holiday you probably won't be thankful for the weather. Areas like Western New York already. went from last week's crippling snowfall to this week's rapid flooding. And the changes in temperatures and storm systems just keeps changing. From Washington up I- 95 to Philly New York and on to Boston. Weather whiplash. A record warm day, but it's the calm before another storm. Get ready for a travel nightmare in the northeast on Wednesday and Thursday. And I know that's bad timing with the Thanksgiving holiday, a huge travel time. But you're gonna see a lot of scenes like this because we've got a winter storm that's developing.

Winter Storm Cato. While the far West and Midwest will see some slick spots, it's the rain currently in Florida making its way to the Northeast that'll cause the nation's biggest problems, with possibly more than a foot of snow in some areas. Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee tweeted to her followers Thanksgiving itself should be mostly dry, but. Emphasizing worst travel time. DC to Boston is Wednesday late morning through afternoon. Please share. USA Today added if the forecasts hold, the delay- prone airports of New York, Newark and Philadelphia seemed all but sure to experience major weather disruptions.

Bottom line, you might want to get ahead of this storm if you want to avoid, as the headlines have dubbed it over and over, a travel nightmare.
