Nobody's gonna get this reference. >> You are correct. >> Sony Vaio E. one of the world's smallest net books at 9. 5 inches long x 4 inches wide by about half an inch thick and a little over a pound. Sony does not refer to it as a net book per se. they call it a lifestyle PC. It does have an Intel Z Series Atom processor, which can be found in net books, but it does offer a few features that net books do not have such as old school knob- style trackball and mouse buttons. But it's also got on either side of the screen a trackpad that you can use to navigate the web. And unlike any net book I've seen, it's got a built- in accelerometer. So, you can read web pages any which way you like. The screen too is really something to behold. It's an 8- inch LED backlit screen. It's 1, 600 pixels wide by 768 pixels high, which is unheard of in standard size net books. That all comes at a cost though because it makes text on webpages almost impossible to read unless you're holding it like this. Sony has thoughtfully included a quick resolution button here right at the bottom of the machine. You just hit it and it will switch from 1, 600 x 768 down to 1, 280 x 600, making everything more manageable. And there are built- in function keys for zooming in and out. The Sony Vaio E will go on sale June 8th.
