## Transcript

Another day another Sony secret revealed from the thousands of leaked emails and documents released after a massive corporate hack this time around Bond, James Bond [ NOISE ] specifically the entire script for Spectre the latest Bond film emails concerning its budget were leaked too. CNN discovered the emails, finding conversations between top- level execs, and MGM studio head Jonathan Glickman said the film is way over budget at more than $ 300 million. For some comparison, the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film currently reigns as having the most expensive movie budget ever at $ 378. 5 million.

The previous Bond film, Skyfall, had an estimated budget of about $ 200 million. Included in the emails from Glickman were some Hollywood style tips on how to shave off some extra dough from the production budget, such as Villa in Rome? It's a nighttime scene, so try doing it in London Instead. There's fighting on a train? Again? But use fewer carriages, three instead of four. And forget the dramatic finale in the rain. It'll lower the cost of visual and special effects. Sony Pictures Entertainment co- chair Amy Pascal, who's had numerous embarrassing emails leaked from the hack already makes an appearance later in the conversation saying, It's insane and you know with no script this movie is gonna go over budget.

But a worrying budget wasn't the only thing revealed. Entertainment writers at Gawkers Defamer got their hands on the full. Script of the film, which was filled with notes from Sony and MGM execs. Of course, we're not going to spoil anything for you. So we'll just say there were some panicked emails concerning the end of the film, with execs at one point suggesting 20 whole pages needed to be cut. The emails weren't all full of bad news though. As Variety points out Glickman said in one email the film was able to grab a product placement for Heineken to help reduce budget costs.
