Not only with my fellow liberians. And Africans, but with people all over the world who strive for positive change and social progress. I'm reminded. a few moments in my life that brought me into the pages of Time magazine in a different capacity. in 2006 I was honored to be recognized as one of the time 100. a list of celebrates influential ladies Pioneer Sand changemakers from around the world My life's journey. Aspen one pill with challenges resilience and an unwavering commitment. to make a difference What inspires me you might ask? The answer lies in the faces of those. I have had the privilege to serve. the people who yearns for a better life Beretta future they hope bad dreams and their determination have been my constant source of inspiration. as the first female president of Liberia I had the opportunity to lead a nation healing from the scars of civil conflict. It indeed was a daunting task. But why determination? to bring peace Stability and progress to Liberia kept me going. the impact of those years is evident in the remarkable strides our nation has made. And I'm proud to have been apart of that conference formation. but tonight I also want to look forward. my aspiration extend beyond the presidency Beyond Liberia I am committed to mentoring the next generation of African leaders women leaders. Guide them in the pursuit of a more Equitable and prosperous continents. my home is to empower young women and men Is telling them that believe that they too? Can be effective no matter the obstacles they might face. I Envision a world where women's rights are not just acknowledged but fully realized. What economic opportunities I acceptable to all? And we're social justice prevails. Receiving this award is a profound moments. It is a testament to the belief. That change is possible even in the face of insurmountable challenges. It is a reminder that the pursuit of Justice equality and peace is not in vain. And it is so cold action, but each and every one of us, I accept this award with immense gratitude not just for myself, but for all those who have worked this path with me. Let us stand together and commit to a future with our Collective efforts lead to a lasting positive change. I thank all of you for your support and I look forward to the journey ahead.
