Have you ever heard of virtually reality? I don't quite understand it. [ MUSIC ] Are you curious to see what it's like? Very. I am very curious. I am Amelie Diamant- Holmstrom. I am one of triplets Who came to America on the Excambion. [ MUSIC ] [ FOREIGN ] It's beautiful. [ BLANK_AUDIO ] The heartbreaking thing, of course, was to be separated from the parents, but the parents all smile and wave and tell you all is well and you go out into the wild blue yonder No hoping for the best. [ MUSIC ] That's amazing, just absolutely amazing it. I didn't know that existed. Wow. [ LAUGH ] It make the experience very beautiful actually.

[ MUSIC ] That's amazing. That is incredible. [ MUSIC ] When you're hearing the stories from the perspectives of the ones who were separated, you can feel the pain because you see the isolation of the ship in the middle of an ocean. And then eventually You see the Statue of Liberty and you realize that there's some sign of life. I've thought of that statue many times. It's a sign of freedom, it's a sign of hope, it's a sign of possibility. That's what made me so happy. [ MUSIC ]
