With the holiday season upon us, Sony finds itself still reeling from a massive cyber attack. Since the week of Thanksgiving, Sony Pictures has seen an infiltration of it's online systems that is yet to let up. This strange photo was on the computers of all employees at Sony Pictures November 24th. The hackers have since released Sony exec's salary information, thousands of employee's social security numbers, and reportedly the script from Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul. [ MUSIC ] But things got significantly worse for the film company with news that five major releases from Sony Pictures were leaked online, presumably as part of the same cyber attack.

Fury, Annie, Still Alice, Mr. Turner, and To Write Love on Her Arms are all available online. And Fury, which came out in October, has been downloaded more than half a million times. You want us to kill the leader of North Korea? Yes. What? Many believe the hack stems from Sony's big Christmas release, The Interview, a comedy about killing the leader of North Korea, Kim Jung Ung. Back in June, after the trailer was released, North Korean state media released a statement calling the movie an act of war and threatening a merciless countermeasure if the film is released. And while North Korea has denied any involvement in the Sony cyberattack, time notes North Korea's hacking abilities have improved.

The country is growing increasingly comfortable weaponizing the Internet. Kim Jong- un called cyberattacks a magic weapon that could help North Korea launch ruthless strikes. Fortunately, Sony is not alone in its quest for answers. The FBI is also investigating the breach.
