[00:05] Um, you know, being a kid from Akron, [00:07] Ohio, my upbringing, it means a lot. [00:11] And to be here celebrating with all you fellow athletes. [00:13] And we could talk [00:15] about all our stories and why we're here. [00:17] And we know what sports has done for every household. [00:21] You know what it what it does for us, [00:23] how it brings families together. [00:25] You know, the inspiration that we [00:27] continue to give generations before us, [00:30] that we'll give generations after us, [00:32] generations that's here now. [00:34] Um, I wouldn't be here. [00:36] Obviously none of us would be here without sport. [00:38] You know, it's just the it's [00:40] the number one thing that we know. [00:42] What brings the world together. [00:43] You know, we remember the pandemic and [00:45] everything that was going on with the pandemic. [00:47] And all of us was just wondering and just saying, [00:49] can we just get sports back? [00:50] Like we if we get sports back, [00:53] we know that we can bring each other [00:54] together and everybody will feel [00:56] so much better about life because of what sports brings. [00:59] So, um, I didn't [01:02] even I didn't put nothing on the teleprompter. [01:03] Y'all can tell I'm speaking to y'all. I ain't even my. [01:09] That thing says five LeBron James. [01:38] We just had a story, obviously with DeMar, [01:41] you know, and those guys come up here and talk about [01:43] cardiac arrest, how important that is. [01:44] Our son went through something like that [01:46] a few years ago, um at USC. [01:48] And obviously if it wasn't for the coaching staff and [01:53] the medical team and everybody at [01:55] USC being there in a timely fashion, [01:59] we possibly could be sitting here [02:01] without our son, our oldest son. [02:04] So thank you to everybody and [02:06] all the efforts when it comes to cardiac arrest. [02:08] Guys, take that serious. [02:10] If you've got kids and an elementary, [02:12] you got kids in middle school, [02:13] kids in high school colleges, [02:14] make sure they have these devices [02:16] available where you can get them, practice them. [02:20] It's very important. [02:21] Super, super important. [02:22] Obviously, we know how important it is to our family. [02:24] So we're a big advocate of that. [02:26] Um, and also I got a shout out my youngest son, [02:29] my twin, who's at the University of Arizona. [02:31] I love you as well, Bryce. [02:34] Um, I know you guys have been here for a long time. [02:37] Uh, these chairs aren't [02:39] the most comfortable chairs that y'all sat in. [02:41] Uh, so I'm going to get you guys out of here, [02:43] but I just want to say thank you [02:44] again from the bottom of my heart. [02:45] It means everything to me. [02:47] And without sports, I wouldn't be here. [02:49] I wouldn't be able to tell my story. [02:50] I would not be able to inspire the youth, [02:52] inspire everybody that's followed my my journey.
