## Transcript

Katharine McPhee files for divorce from her husband after six years of marriage. The starlet who rose to fame as the finalist on American Idol, and later starred in the NBC series Smash, has officially split from husband Nick Cokas according to a rep for the actress who told People, after six years of marriage and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas. The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. McPhee made headlines late last year when she was spotted kissing another man, her married Smash director Michael Morris, six months into her separation with Cokas.

Though McPhee and Cokas were on a break, Morris and his wife, actress Mary McCormack, were not. McCormack had just had a baby with Morris, and a rep for the couple told People, Mary adores her husband. If this is true, she would have been blindsided. Well, it seems like McPhee is starting fresh. She's newly single and starring in CBS's new drama, Scorpion premiering this fall. Thanks for watching. I'm Jay Strubberg.
