You'll go down in American space history and people will read about you for the next several decades. What do it feel like to be the guy who set these records? To be One of America's space heroes. I'll tell you what, these records are made to be broken, and there's this guy, Jeff Williams, that's gonna launch here in the next couple of weeks. He's gonna break my number of days record. Six months, when you get there, you can kinda see the end. You think, okay, I launched in October, I'm coming back in March, I can envision getting there. But when you launch in March, and you're thinking about coming back the next March it is not something that you can really comprehend. Whether I fly in space again. You know I. You know my brother has even been retired for. A bunch of years, he still hasn't given up the idea that he's gonna fly in space again. I don't think I would ever say, I'm absolutely 100 % done, because I think there's a lot of exciting possibilities there, maybe in the commercial aspect certainly. And they might need a guy like me someday or someone else. [ UNKNOWN ] save the planet The planet'll be just fine, it's us that's gonna have a problem. You know, the planet will get better. You know, we might not be here because we're gonna, you know, destroy the environment, but I think the planet will eventually recover, probably be without people. So it's very, you know, for us to take care of the air we breathe, and you know, the And the water we drink is critical. You could see a lot of pollution in, you know, over parts of Asia. That's almost continuous, constantly there. You can't really see the ground very well. And, those fires in California over the summer, I mean, that smoke was pretty extensive, covering large parts of the U. S.. You could tell it was the same amount of smoke, noticing weather systems in areas where you're not normally used to seeing them or expect them to be. But the predominant thing is you just notice how thin the atmosphere is, how fragile it looks. Did you in fact gain the two inches, or? I don't know where that came from. I did measure myself, and it was an inch and a half, so maybe somebody just decided to round up and write it as a fact, so. Okay. But, gravity pushes you back down to size. You know, going to Mars if it takes two years or two and a half years. I think we know enough and we're close enough that if we made the choice, hey, we're gonna do this.
