Cutting the cord, it's tough. Ain't no trip to Cleveland, that's for sure. Our friends at findthebest. com, have come up with a whole mess of ways for you to ditch your cable company, though. Here's a handful based on the type of content you like. For the purposes of this exercise, we're gonna assume you pay 60 bucks a month for cable, which equals $ 720 per year. And most of us right now are saying that's a very conservative estimate. If you still wanna watch all the latest content, but you can't stand the thought of staring at one more cable bill, consider The Ultimate Coach Potato package. Comprised of Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime which will get you access to a bunch of Amazon's Instant Video, this package will cost around 300 bucks a year, which is less than half your cable bill.

Now, if you don't care what you watch as long as the TV stays on, the bills go away, consider The Cheapskate collection of free and legal services. Basic Hulu is really the headliner here that'll give you a hodgepodge of free and popular shows, and you can round out your content with a bunch of other free services. And now to the trump card in any cable company's argument, sports. What are you gonna do about sports? Subscribing all these popular services will cost you about $ 400 a year but you won't get live NFL games and there's blackout restrictions depending on the sport. So make sure to check with each provider to see what you're getting and what you're not getting.

If you want the best movies as soon as you can get 'em and you're not averse to paying per- rental, check out the modern movie file package. Rentals will cost about 3 or 5 bucks a piece, if you watch a movie a month that's around 50 bucks a year. If you watch three a month that's around 150 bucks a year. If you watch more than that, [ LAUGH ] you have more faith in the entertainment industry, than I do. And finally a solute to nostalgia with the time traveler packages. The early days of video rentals box, CTVs and DVD players. We won't make you get in the car or use any kiosks but Redbox and Blockbuster are still alive and kicking.

It's about a 100 bucks a year for Redbox Instant service and Blockbuster is a pay- per- rental for its on- demand service. To get more detailed pricing information and to play around with findthebest. com's interactive widgets, head over to time. com and search for Five Ways To Cut Cable, but Keep All Your Shows. I know at the end of these videos, I always say go to time. com and search for this or that, but it really is important in this case if you're interested in cord cutting. There's a lot of complex information, and this article does a great job of compartmentalizing it all into one place.

These videos are too simple. They're too people if, if the people have the, their videos if the videos are too long they. What was I doing? Attention span. Attention span. Attention span.
