At a minimum I believe the committee should postpone this vote. [ MUSIC ] I think it's retaliation because they're mad about the election. But it's not about whether one is mad, it's about whether or not the American people are being served. And I think this boycott does not serve the American people. I've never seen anything quite like this, that the lack of the desire to fulfill their Constitutional responsibilities. I understand that they're very upset at Donald Trump and his administration. But to cripple the administration right out of the box is certainly not the way to do things. These are two really fine men and they have fine reputations.

We have great concerns that. Senator Hatch is asking us to vote on two nominees today, who have out and out lied to our committee. [ MUSIC ]
