## Transcript

Has Facebook or Twitter ever helped you professionally? yeah. I've worked in recruitment for years and we use both pretty consistently. Especially for like graduate recruitment. Facebook or Twitter? No. LinkedIn? Maybe. Probably LinkedIn. LinkedIn is really helpful for getting to know people who know people in different companies and make the first contact. Also helps from a corporate perspective to get a message out about you know, what your corporate branding is, and what kind of a. A vibe you want to give to new recruits. How do you use LinkedIn? To keep in touch with old colleagues, networking, and finding out new positions that are coming available.

So I guess people will check my background in a sense and see if you know, I have the skills that I'm going for job wise. I got my latest job through LinkedIn. I threw my resume on there and. Yeah, the interview process started from there, So how has LinkedIn helped you? It's helped me connect with different people in business and organizations. I've had much more success with Twitter actually, over Facebook and LinkedIn, surprisingly. Now, what's the stupidest thing that a job applicant has ever done on social media? In your experience? They put a link to their Facebook site on their CV submitted it and we clicked on it and it had naked pictures of them all over it from some rugby night out.

I work in health care, and I've heard some horror stories of people posting things on their Twitter account or Facebook. It's an absolute breach of confidentiality. And it's unacceptable. But I know like during the hiring process of the place I work now, they do check Facebooks, and if, you know, you got a Facebook update and you've got like half naked pictures of yourself, or looking like you're drinking, going crazy, it's definitely not a good sign.
