[ MUSIC ] With gasoline prices below $ 2, it sort of brings me back to the mid- 90s when SUVs were really in style. Detroit was producing a lot of them, making a lot of money on them, but not seeing [ MUSIC ] What was coming, which was almost the demise of Detroit because they didn't have enough fuel efficient cars. Now we're back in 2015. SUVs are back, and this is one of the big ones. We brought this Ford Expedition to the woods, but I'm not exactly sure it wants to be here. This is one of the most elegant versions of the. Expedition, the Platinum model, capable of hauling around eight adults in three rows, or if you have a small business, maybe, and a large family, it can do both.

These are truck bodied really, this is body on frame, which means it is sturdy, it is large, it has room for everything you could possibly own. This is the platinum version of the Expedition. It'll cost you about $ 68, 000 just to get in this thing. You get leather interior, moon roof, lots of bells and whistles, fancy wheels. But what you mostly get is a little bit of style. You can be super mom, super dad, around your neighborhood. Why would you buy a brute like this? Well, if you're towing a boat, you need something like it. It's a 9, 200 pound max here, integrated breaking, so if you're putting family in and towing something behind, then you need a vehicle like this one.

And it has enough power to do that. 365 horsepower Six cylinder engine. Now, that's a different engine. Ford has come down from an eight cylinder to a six cylinder. Because you have twin turbos, you get just as much or if not more power, and this is a trend in the industry in general. So, we make the engine smaller but more powerful, so we don't hurt on performance here Perfectly good on the highway. It gets to 60 in six seconds and change. One of the most comfortable SUVs I've ever been in, actually. You can see the nice leather touches across the seats, over here on the door handles. This is an easy dash to use.

It's. Basically one touch, both on the screen and on the air conditioning climate. It also has buttons here for your trailer control, downhill control, here's your dial to dial in two wheel, all wheel, four high and four low so it's unusual in this model That you have an all drive and a four wheel drive option. You generally don't get that. All in all, very practical, easy to use dashboard. You are riding very high because you're in an SUV and if you like that feel, if you wanna be king of the road, then this is a great seat to be in. [ MUSIC ]
