[ MUSIC ] What is your most important financial advice for women in their 40s? I would say women in their 40s already have been through some sort of life event and life change. So it's either going to be a divorce, a marriage, a child, Or all of the above. I think women in their 40's need to get serious about all of their financial decisions. Because at that point in their life they're balancing and they're juggling, and they need to just keep an eye on what's important to them and their financial goals. And then stick to whatever budget and plan they have. Enough. In your book you talk about how your 30's are an important time for women to cement their position so they can spend their 40's at the pinnacle of their career.

What's your advice for doing that? You have to be your own advocate. Because guess what? No one else is going to do it for you. You need to negotiate for yourself. You need to know what you're worth. You need to be able to do the research to figure out what is my salary position in the same geographical area? what is it going for? Am I under? Am I over? If I want to get to the next step, what do I have to do to get there? Interview people who are in that position. Find out what it takes. Do whatever it takes for you to get yourself where you want to be. So that you can be fulfilled in your career.
