[ MUSIC ] So Tom, you said that there are actually many things that can hold us back from success, but you've really boiled it down to five, and that really starts with whether or not you like what you do for a living. You really wanna get wealthy? You gotta love what you do for a living, because why? You're gonna spend more time doing it. It's not gonna feel like work. When we talk about work, we self- made millionaires, they work 14 to 16 hours a day. Trust me, I talked to Richard Branson. He said it's not work to him, it's fun. Another thing that these folks have in common is that they all really live below their means.

Spending money wasn't what Made them happy. What made them happy was doing what they did for a living. People that are struggling in life, they spend money to create happiness. You also say that this can sort of lead to shiny objects [ UNKNOWN ]. We're not really able to focus and put your Your energy into one thing. Yeah, this is a real problem. People that suffer from bright, shiny object syndrome. They never accumulate wealth. They just don't. Oftentimes when you're pursuing something, you run into obstacles. Those obstacles sometimes can create desperation. And in that moment of desperation is when our inner genius comes out as human beings.

People that suffer from bright shiny object syndrome, they never have the opportunity to expose their genius because they give up too soon. Success, you say, is also very mental because if you have a really negative outlook on life, that can really impact your finances. Most of the individuals who are not rich in my study had a negative mental outlook. The problem with that is like attracts likes. So when you have a negative mental outlook you're going to attract other people that have a negative mental outlook. It's just human nature. You have to associate with other success minded people. You say that poor health can also really hold you back in terms of earning money and building wealth.

Yeah, when you have poor health habits, they keep accumulating, you don't even notice the accumulation. And then one day, bam, you get a report from your doctor that you have diabetes. Self- made millionaires don't have any of those issues. In fact, 82 % of them said that they were Healthy. [ MUSIC ]
