Do you feel like Brett Favre? >> Brett Favre? Yeah. Would I [ ink ]? >> Do you envision this to be The Blueprint 3 from beginning when Kanye just sort of lost tracks that album, too. >> Yeah. It pretty much-- it's pretty much close to your emotion and the feeling that we wanted to achieve. I don't know if we got the Scarface part down. It was really pretty much. Scarface meets Bono meets you know, some uncharted waters for hip hop. But, it was pretty much that like you wanna to feel happy and the music to feel big at the same time keep it grounded and you know, what we've come up listening to. >> What led you to be a part of DJ Hero? >> When I was approached, they brought me demo early on and process and aside from you know, the capabilities of the game was just fun. Right? The way it was blending genres in music together, you know, I'm really into that and for me that was the most exciting part and that was the game and it is fun and all. But for me that-- the message was so big that I was like, I wanted to be a part of it. >> Obviously the renegade edition is a collaboration between you and Eminem. Now, did either of you have input on what tracks or mixes that the two of you would be releasing on-- >> Yeah. Yeah. Well, for me I picked the one song off each of my album. If you look at it, it's almost like a timeline of my career and like my first greatest hits, I've never released a greatest hit, so it's pretty much like the greatest hits for me. And Eminem picked I guess rarities and songs that were his favorites as well as putting it on release track on there, take my ball. That would be cool if I would have picked his track, he would have picked mine that would have been great. >> Yeah. It would have been great. >> That's maybe, that's not for DJ Hero 2. >> Alright. DJ Hero 2? >> Oh yeah. >> Of the four mixes of yours that are in the game, which one is your favorite? >> I am, you know, I am, this old mix is pretty strong. >> Earlier this year you were quoted saying DJ has the ability to use music to control people's emotions and is responsible for the entire vibe of a room, the club or a party. So do you think DJ Hero has delivered on that? >> Absolutely. Yeah. Absolutely. Because, I mean-- Even in a more playful way. Right? This is a serious thing DJ, because a lot of time you know, you paid your money to get in the club so this DJ, he's working, you know. He had better perform. You know, this way is a more relaxed setting. Right, there's people playing who are not DJs, you know novice. So, you know, it is almost like you're messing up and laughing and having Fun, but at the same time you're listening to music you know, pin on the volume. You know, you're gonna have a party wherever. >> As far as content goes, what else can we expect from you down the road for DJ Hero? You're gonna do some special mixes coming up? >> Yeah. Hopefully you know they'll get some of these Blueprint songs and then, you know, we'll figure that out, you know, later on down the line you know, especially New York and the Empire State of mind you got to get down one in there. Yeah. >> Are you a gamer at all? >> Well, I used to be really, really good but now you got less time. But I'm back now.
