## Transcript

American Idol's latest elimination, it gives away to season 13's, top five. [ SOUND ] CJ [ INAUDIBLE ] [ LAUGH ] I can hear you guys crying behind me. Come on, give em a hug. [ SOUND ] Give em a hug. Bring it in, man. The show said goodbye to 23 year old country crooner C J. Harris Thursday night, leaving Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, Alex Preston, and Sam Woolf To fight it out for the title. Still, saying goodbye to C. J. was hard, especially for judge, Jennifer Lopez. She teared up after the elimination. She told People, it's so sad to see him go. In a lot of ways, he was the heart of the competition.

Still, Entertainment Weekly said it was the right call. His time was up a long time ago. His constant pitch problems have always made me question how he got into the live shows in the first place. But I think it was that environment that really started to his weaknesses as a performer. He's a really nice guy though so at least he didn't finish last. Thanks for watching. I'm Brice Sander.
