Unsure of what to believe, family members of those onboard missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 have called for more transparency and more information. Now they finally have it. Working with Malaysian officials, satellite company Inmarsat released data on Tuesday that was used to determine where the missing plane might be. But the data might not answer all of the family's questions. Will people be able to take this data and recreate your work. No. To redo the work requires experts in many, many different fields. We've gathered those experts in an investigation team to allow that to happen. But this is providing some transparency in terms of what actual data came back and forth between the plane and the ground station and how that data's been subsequently used.

The search for MH370 has most recently focused on the Southern Indian ocean, but a lack of public information has had many people questioning why. Inmarsat is confident its analysis of the data is correct. This data's been checked and checked, not just by Inmarsat, but many parties. At the moment, there's no reason to doubt. I believe what the data says. Meanwhile, the underwater search for Flight 370 will effectively be on hold this week, as a submersible drone wraps up its work in a few days. Australian officials say it could be two months or longer before other underwater vehicles are contracted and deployed in the search for MH 370.
