[00:00] I believe to my core that there's only one right
[00:04] way to do this job, and that is with strict
[00:07] independence, by the book, playing it straight, faithful
[00:12] to the Constitution, faithful to our laws, and faithful to
[00:15] the best practices of the institution, without
[00:20] fear Without favoritism and certainly without regard
[00:24] to any partisan political influence. Anybody who
[00:29] thinks that I would be pulling punches as the FBI
[00:32] director, sure doesn't know me very well. If I am given
[00:34] the honor of leading this agency, I will never
[00:39] Allow the FBI's work to be driven by anything other
[00:43] than the facts, the law, and the impartial
[00:47] pursuit of justice. Period. Full stop. My
[00:52] loyalty is to the constitution, and to the rule of law.
[00:57] Those have been my guide post throughout my career
[01:00] and I will continue to adhere to them no matter the
[01:03] test.
