## Transcript

It's a month of contradiction. Jobless claims have increased, while the economy has gained more than two hundred thousand jobs. According to the latest Bureau of Labor statistics report. According to Fortune, strong economic growth in the second quarter, after a staggering winter had many economists predicting, earlier this week, that the growth would continue. But CBS explains, poor wages which have no definite increases in the future likely contributed to a less than expected growth. The report says, industries with the strongest job creation were in the professional and business services, as well as in construction and manufacturing.

The one- tenth percentage increase in unemployment to 6. 2 is due to more people returning to the workforce, a sign of growing confidence in the economy, as one economist tells the Wall Street Journal. Another tell Fortune continuing improvements in the labor conditions will increase the low wage growth, leading to a stronger economy, but not everyone is optimistic about the latest reports, putting out the disappointing job growth in July with 90 1, 000 less than the previous month. The economic recovery, is likely to be a contentious, topic ( ahead of mid- term elections ); as both parties try to make the numbers look favorable, for their side.

This is the first time, in more than 15 years, jobs numbers increased by at least, 200, 000, for six, straight months. Thanks for watching.
