## Transcript

When it comes to performing the National Anthem usually the less press the better. Do a good job and you won't read about yourself the next day. Well, this trumpeter is an exception to the rule. Grammy award winner, Jesse McGuire brought the house down in the Carolina Panthers Bank of America stadium with his trumpet rendition of the National Anthem. -[ Unk ]

>> McGuire's instrumental performance received praised from all over making some writers wonder why don't we do this more often. Deadspin not only praised the performance but begged for more like it. Writing, " Really musicians should be used for the national anthem more often ." Singers are hit or miss and most of them are forgettable. In fact, Sports call McGuire spectacular performance a cool moment that will give you chills. As you might imagine McGuire is no stranger to the spotlight. On his website he calls his most notable moment another performance of the National Anthem during the 2001 World series.

Unfortunately for Carolina fans though, McGuire's National Anthem was as good as it got. The San Francisco 49ers beat Cam Newton's Panthers 23 to 10 putting the 49ers in the NFC championship for the third straight year. For Time, I'm Lauren Gores.
