## Transcript

It's arguably the most wonderful time of the year for slurpee lovers like actress Ashley Benson, 7- Eleven Day. Friday is free slurpee day at 7- eleven. [ LAUGH ] Nice. Yeah, but this year in honor of it's 87th birthday. The convenience store chain will expand its freebies the following week too. You heard right. 7- eleven will give away millions of 12 ounce Slurpees on its birthday Friday, which is appropriately July 11th, get it? Seven, you get it. And the freebie bonanza continues into the following week. The convenience store Giant will be giving away free big gulps on Saturday, M & M's birthday cake flavored candies on Sunday, Grandma's Cookies on Monday and the list goes on.

For the rest of the week. That's a lot of swag and on Friday the free slurpees come with no coupons, no loyalty program memberships required. Though for the rest of the week there's a catch, the other freebies do mandate that customers download the 7- Eleven smartphone app. Either way, it all sounds too good to be true, right? Well a writer for USA Today says 7- Eleven is getting a good deal out of the whole thing too. The purpose, of course, is not only to build long- term relationships, but. To boost short term sales. Though just in case nothing on 7- 11's list gets your mouth watering, two other businesses are giving away goodies, too.

Chick- Fil- A will give you a meal totally free on July 11th, so long as you come in dressed like a cow in honor of the restaurant's Cow Appreciation Day. Don't have a cow costume at your convenience? Never fear. Chik Fil A has you covered with this hand on sample you can print and cut out just for the occasion. Krispy Kreme is also celebrating it's 77th birthday by giving customers a dozen glazed donuts for just 77 cents. With a purchase of any dozen doughnuts. So not a freebie, but still a pretty darn good doughnut deal. Thanks for watching. I'm Lauren Zima.
