## Transcript

>> During the interview

>> As I've said,

>> we're you in the right mind?

>> I'm afraid I was not. It wasn't probably been a right mind. I want people understand this. It wasn't about that. I think the fact that when some-- so important to ask me a question, when they're supposed not to ask me that question, at that particular time, knowing the fact that I wasn't in the state to really properly answer that question. I think it was unfair. And but, you know.

>> So your answer was the way it was 'coz you thought me asking you about it was unfair?

>> I think the fact that you know, if you want the story for this. You want a story, you could at least ask me first. I think that would the properly thing to do. And at the moment, you know, I-- I really didn't-- didn't think too much about it. And-- and I told you before this interview I say, you know, I don't hate you man. You're just doing your job. With my drinking, I drink it's because I'm bored.

>> You drink because you're bored.

>> Absolutely. I've-- I've been saying it for years. Ever since since 1993, you know, because I-- I need to be active. I need to be productive. And just trying to keep my mind on life in general. I don't hurt anyone. I never carry a gun. I never had a gun. I don't have a knife. I don't have anything that would cause damage anyone's in their future about what they do in life. That's not my job. My job is to do one thing. It's been a professional entertainer and who being on this planet is to entertain people. I don't know the Marshall as a dictator. I don't know him like that. All I know is the fact that with him, he's more like a 31 year old guy, and I call him a kid all the time.

And I say, yeah he's-- he's my friend. I look at-- at him like that, because he gave me the opportunity to at least come here in the country of North Korea. To bring the basketball team and we would have to show the world, just want to show the world that we can actually get along. I don't want anyone to go in any country or anywhere in the world to be [ unk ] for something they maybe they did or did not do, you know. I'm not, like I said in government, I don't what how that works. But dealing with the Bae family, you know. I, like I said I feel for them. I feel for deeply. Like I said, but it is, I would do anything.

I would do anything literally. This is-- this is Dennis Rodman talking. If they said, we'll take Dennis Rodman and we'll let Kenneth Bae go. I'll say you know what? I'll do that. Straight ahead, I'll do it. Take me.
