In New Delhi, Google continues to expand its brand with the release of the Android One smartphone. When the makers believe in the potential of everyone. [ NOISE ] The Android One smartphone is part of Google's effort to get more smartphones in developing countries that are reliable and affordable. Sundar Pichai, Google's Senior VP over Android spoke with NDTV. You know, we are on this journey to reach the next 5 billion people. And we really want to bring in a whole new set of people who have never tried out smart phones before. As for the specs of the new device, Google claims the relatively cheap phone just over $ 100 U.

S ., is every bit as smart as Android's other devices. Android One features a 4. 5 inch display, 1 GB of RAM, a rear and front facing camera, built- in FM radio and a Quad Core processor. The Android One launch follows closely behind Firefox, launching its own low cost smartphone in India. The Intex Cloud FX is a $ 35 smartphone released in late August. It runs the Firefox operating system. The Wallstreet Journal notes the potential for growth in the Indian smartphone market is huge. Only 10 % of its 900 million cell phone users have smartphones. According to google the android one program will expand to Indonesia, the Philippines and South Asia by the end of the year
