>> The FBI and Italian police executed coordinated raids to stop a drug ring in a strike they called New Bridge. Italian anti- mafia prosecutor say the police investigation took two years and involved the Gambino crime family in New York.

>> 8 suspects have been arrested in the U. S. Nearly two dozen in Italy. They're accused of smuggling cocaine in crates of coconuts and pineapples found for the United States.- Polizia di Stato, one of Italy's National Police forces, posted this article following the raid. Translated, it says the mafia organizations were trafficking rivers of drugs across the Atlantic Ocean. CBS news had a correspondent with the police forces in Italy as they conducted the raids overnight Monday.

>> The head of this surprisingly modest household is an alleged member of the [ unk ], a tight knit and violent organization that is a major player in international heroin and cocaine smuggling and money laundering.
