[ MUSIC ] [ SOUND ] [ CROSSTALK ] I'm Nick Carbone, for Time and these are our five favorite viral videos for the month. [ MUSIC ] In case, you forgot , what holiday, just passed, teen singer Nicole Westbrook is here to remind you. [ MUSIC ] The 12 year old singer, took a page, right out of Rebecca Black's songbook. [ MUSIC ] Using, a similar theme and the exact, same producer. Patrice Wilson, is the man, behind , both Friday and it's thanksgiving. Westbrook, tears, through the holidays on a calendar, and using a turkey leg as her microphone, she clearly explains the reason for the season. [ MUSIC ] Oh yeah, so we are the Line Side.

Even, if your turkey , was dried out , this thanksgiving, you probably, didn't think to shoot it into space. Five Harvard, students, did just that with a mass produced hunk of meat. [ CROSSTALK ] Three, two, one. [ MUSIC ] [ NOISE ] They sent, the first hamburger, ever into the stratosphere. [ SOUND ] Calling , it Operation Sky Fall, they took a standard burger , coated it in varnish, so it wouldn't disintegrate, in space and attached it to a weather balloon. Away [ SOUND ]. And what, goes up must come down. [ SOUND ] [ MUSIC ] I believe, I can fly. Cat's, found this out the hard way too. In an advertisement for a Swedish Insurance company.

Set, to I Believe I Can Fly, that empowering 90s song by R Kelly, the cat soared, gracefully, through the atmosphere. [ MUSIC ] I believe I can soar [ MUSIC ] And the company's, quick to note that it's all computer generated. No cats, actually jumped out of a plane to make the set. However, life's not always about free falling, [ CROSSTALK ] [ LAUGH ] sometimes you can just keep the status queue, even if you're not getting anywhere. A drunk, businessman, found this out the hard way, when he attempted to go down an escalator, at a London underground station, one evening. [ LAUGH ] He apparently, couldn't , grasp the concept , that it was the up escalator.

[ NOISE ] People on their way up, tried to redirect, him yet he wouldn't budge and it took a press of the emergency, stop button to stop his feet and get him walking the right way. Hi, MTV, I'm Miss Emo in my mid- 20s. Even, when you're shown the path of enlightenment, it doesn't mean it's golden. MTV, has swapped out music videos in favor of a repertoire of reality. The shows. Though, not everyone is thrilled about it, especially kids from the 80s who remember the old way. I just, wonder, why don't you play music videos any more? Thanks. [ SOUND ] Dear Natalie, are you [ SOUND ] fucking kidding me?

[ CROSSTALK ] These haters, were put in their place thanks to a sketch comedy group, who created, a fake , message, imitating , MTV's head of programming. [ SOUND ] And music videos, are more worthless, than ever before, Puff Daddy you, used to be able to drive a speedboat through an explosion. [ CROSSTALK ] But it's not all syterical. Now, you're lucky if you can through some dire, piece of sh [ SOUND ] video without, a character, checking their hot new Iphone for three seconds, at a concert, surprise. That gaudy, blatant product shot, is the only reason that video got funding in the first place.

This is a video both funny and accurate, blaming the shift away from music videos on a dawn of piracy. [ CROSSTALK ] So, we won't be seeing music videos, again , any time soon. And the game has changed. [ SOUND ] Your generation, decided to steal music and music videos are more [ CROSSTALK ] Looks, like we should just learn to enjoy those cheesy reality shows. After, all we'd have fewer , viral videos without them. [ MUSIC ]
