[ LAUGH ] When I grow up, I wanna be the president. This is the dream of many kids around the world. This video is going viral in China. Anyone born on American soil, have lived in the states for more than 14 years and are now over 35 years old, then you can run for US President. Sounds easy. It's unclear who made it, but how leaders are made is a playful, animated comparison of three different political systems, UK, The US and China. Without a glib tongue, extraordinary stamina, and most importantly an unending flow of greenbacks, no one can ever pull through it. The video seems to celebrate China's political system, and the process by which its current president, Xijing Ping, came to power. [ MUSIC ] Take Xijing Ping, president of China. He started at a primary level office, one similar to community councils in the west. Throughout, it celebrates the processes of meritocratic screening and various tests and trials. Now a Chinese Communist Party official has to undergo and pass to rise up to the top. It compares this to essentially Democratic systems in the UK and the US. It likens the election of a British Prime Minister to a contest not dissimilar to a popular TV reality show. Britain's Got Talent. Many in China get annoyed by international lectures on democracy and human rights. This video in a certain sense is a response to international criticism of the Chinese political system. Of course, the video does not tell us the full story. Xi Jinping, though he's moved many decades through the Communist Party machinery, is the son of a prominent Communist Party leader. Princelings, as they are known, hold a lot of sway in the Chinese political system, which is notoriously opaque and marred, as far as we can tell, by corruption as well as a whole, vast Untold story of political intrigues behind closed doors.
