## Transcript

Today we're comparing Kindle's Paper Write ebook reader against the new Kindle Voyage ebook reader. Last year's Paper White reader starts at $ 119. The Voyage starts at $ 199. Both of these Kindle screens have built in light so that you can read them in the dark. As you can see, the screen for the Voyage is flush against [ INAUDIBLE ] Tee bezel of the rest of the eBook reader, and the screen for the Paperwhite is slightly recessed. The Kindle Voyage is the thinnest, lightest eBook reader Amazon's put out yet, though all of the available eBook readers from Amazon are plenty portable, it's not like, a huge difference between the three that are available right now.

New to the Voyager are half- thick page turning buttons. And you press the side bezel and you get a little buzz telling you the page is going forward or backward. There's foreword and backward buttons on either side of the reader, though you can still use a touch screen just like on previous versions. The Kindle Voyage's built in light now features an ambient light feature that adjusts the amount of light to. That the reader receives, depending on what kind of environment you're in. The Kindle Paper White has to be adjusted manually, there's between 1 and 24 levels of brightness. The KIndle Voyage's screen is super high resolution.

It's 300 pixels per inch, versus the Kindle Paper White's 212 pixels per inch. Both screens are really good. The text does look sharp around the Kindle Voyage and images look even sharper, still. As far as battery life, the Kindle Paperwhite actually lasts longer. It lasts up to eight weeks on a single charge. Assuming half- hour of reading each day, with a wireless connection turned off, and the lights set a ten, remember the max is 24. The Kindle Voyage lasts up to six weeks on a single charge, all factors being the same. However, the Kindle Voyage only takes three hours to fully charge. Whereas the Kindle Paperwhite takes four hours.

So the are three models the Kindle. Available now the $ 79 standard Kindle, the $ 119 Kindle Paperwhite and the $ 199 Kindle Voyage. Each model has a six inch screen they all have the same amount of storage at a little over 1, 000 books, I actually think the $ 40 jump from the standard Kindle to the Kindle Paperwhite is the best deal going here you get a much higher resolution screen, you get the built in light which the standard Kindle does not have. Don't get me wrong the Kindle Voyage is an excellent e- book reader the screen is incredible it's the best e- book reader m. Amazon's put out, but the $ 80 jump from the Paperwhite to the Voyage is a much harder sell simply because the Paperwhite is still such a good e- book reader.

Even though it's a year old. To read the full comparison and to get more information about each model, head over to time. com and search for Amazon's Kindles Compared.
