## Transcript

Facebook will officially go public on Friday, when its shares will begin trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange. This moment feels like a virtual Facebook gold rush. If you're thinking about getting in on the action, here are some things to know about the Facebook IPO. Number one the deal, it's hot. CNBC reports Facebook wants to sell 420 million shares, worth around $ 18. 5 billion. And Facebook has recently raised the share price from 28 to $ 34, to 34 to $ 38. The overall IPO could value Facebook at $ 100 billion. That's more than Citigroup. Number two, the risks, if the deal is as hot as they say Facebook will be worth about twice as much as Boeing, which employees 52 times as many people.

But Facebook isn't expected to make Boeing profits anytime soon. This is really a bet on the potential growth of an unpresidented global internet platform. And with a combination of market volatility and the risk of Facebook business setbacks some analysts say the IPO could shape up to be a Facebook bubble. Number three, so who's buying? Originally, CEO Mark Zuckerburg wanted IPOs accessible to individual small time investors. Retailers like E- Trade made some IPOs available to the common person. But those are all gone. In fact, because demand was so high, Facebook stopped taking preorders for the IPO on Tuesday.

At this point, it's an insider game. On Friday when the stock trades on the open NASDAQ, prices will likely skyrocket, bringing joy to market high rollers, and potential pain to latecomers. Our prediction? Like any gold rush, it's the people who got in early that will make a killing.
