## Transcript

We've all heard of the Netbook versus iPad debate from a technical standpoint. Let me present the argument to you in terms that we can all understand. The iPad versus the netbook as a potential date. The iPad. She is very hot, very hot. But it will cost you. You're gonna spend a lot of time shopping on maybe 5th Avenue in New York-- or if you're in Boston like I am, Newbury Street. You'll go to nice parties, but she likes to flirt. You bore her. She is looking for excitement, and you wanna stay home sometimes. She always wants to go out. She is not a cook, but she can order out. She does not clean, she does not drive.

She definitely doesn't have a job unless you count watching the LED TV all day and texting her friends. After a while, you may wonder if it's worth all the effort. Your buddies will think you're insane if you ever leave her. Insane. " You what? You left the iPad? What are you thinking? Are you stupid ?" That's what they'll say. And you'll have to explain, " Listen, all she did was watch TV all day and she kept texting. She always wanted to go out. And I was running out of money. I didn't --" And the netbook. She's cute. She's cute. She got a good personality. She's a little clumsy and forgetful.

You'll have fun hanging out together, but you'll personally have problems making a long- term commitment. She can't cook that well, but she calls on her way home from work. Yes, she has a job and she has a car. And she'll offer to pick up take out on her way home. She picks up around the house, but she doesn't scrub or do laundry. She will pick up your dry clean, though, to be nice. After a while, you may find yourself wanting something more, say, something serious like a full- sized laptop. When you get that full- sized laptop, you may look back at the netbook as the one that got away. You probably eventually realize that the notebook was your best option, but you'll miss the fun you have with the netbook, how easy things were with the netbook.

You can just pick up and take off for a weekend whereas with the notebook now, you got to plan ahead, you gotta pack it after, you gotta, you know, make sure everything's in order. But it's good. You know, full- sized notebook is good. The iPad, well, that was a wild, wild kind.
