## Transcript

The reason that i'm so excited together all of you here today. And we've got remarkable young leaders from every corner of the globe. From 60 countries, from all across the United States. Young people who are already doing remarkable things in their communities, setting up health clinics or starting companies to provide renewable energy in very poor areas or beginning to Advocate on behalf of groups that have been left out and forgotten of communities. The reason I am so excited to see you all here today in part is because this is where I started. Now this isn't where I was born. I was born in Kenya.

It is a joke! [ LAUGH ] I was born in Hawaii. [ LAUGH ] But I was [ BLANK_AUDIO ] I had a little of misspent youth. Did some things that fortunately were not recorded because there was no social media, hence I was ultimately able to be elected president. But in college I either began to develop a social conscience, or at least All those values that mother had whispered in my ear started to come back to me about being kind and being useful and caring about people who were less fortunate than you. And being a peacemaker rather than An instigator, and trying to lift people up instead of putting them down.

And so I started thinking to myself, how can I have an impact? How could I make a difference? If you're here today, wherever you're from, whatever you look like, however you worship Whatever your course or calling one thing that binds all of you together is at some point in your lives you've asked yourself the same question which is how can I have an impact, how can I make a difference?
