THe Massachusetts Native applied to the state border for pardons to forgiven a assault charge brought against him when he was just a teen. According to the court document the actor explain that I am not the same person that I was on the night of April *, 1988. That night 16 year old Wahlberg tried to rob a man outside a convenience store and left another man blind in one eye after assaulting him. When police caught up with Wahlberg they found narcotics on her person, and he admits to being under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time. Courts tried him as an adult and sentenced him to two years in prison, of which he served 45 days. So, more than two decades later, why ask for clemency now? Wahlberg, now 43, wrote in his application. My hope is that, if I receive a pardon, troubled youths will see this as an inspiration and motivation that they too can turn their lives around. For Wahlberg, he hopes the pardon will help him obtain a concessionaire's license for his restaurant, and help him continue his work with law enforcement and troubled youth. Wahlberg already works with his hometown, Dorchester, Boys and Girls Club, and with his own at- risk youth charity. The Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation. Based on these reasons, a publicity expert sales in the ENCN Wahlberg is making a strong case. He has set the example. He's had this foundation for a long time. Maybe he is. He's trying to expand his foundation. Maybe he wants to build a youth center. Maybe he just really wants to show his kids that you can clear your name. However, Wahlberg's application will likely suffer a long, bureaucratic process before approved.
