Nerds are bringing sexy back and Neil deGrasse Tyson is leading the charge. The astrophysicist is the new host of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey airing Sunday nights on FOX. Tyson partnered with Family Guy creator Seth Macfarlane to relaunch Carl Sagan's 80s series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage. And now the two are making science sexy with their spread in GQ Magazine. Tyson posted this pic on Twitter saying, when the universe lands in a GQ shoot, you know science is trending in the world. Neil is a true communicator. He's a scientist himself. And he's emerging as his own form of entertainer, and if that person did not exist he wouldn't be able to do Cosmos.

For me there might be some other answers here, but for me, Cosmos' biggest scientific message is that science is all around us. And science can be not only in your mind, but in your heart. While Tyson is dedicated to sharing science with the world, he is gathering plenty of admirers on Twitter. Everything from making science look this sexy, Neil Tyson, an intelligent mind and soul with a rock star twist.
