Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the 2015 Oscars. I'm in. [ LAUGH ] Nice. For a guy who's seemingly going for an EGOT in hosting. He's hosted the Emmys four times and the Tonys twice. You might think hosting the Oscars would be a breeze. But the Los Angeles Times reminds hosting the Oscars is the quote, ultimate test. With more viewers at home nad more bold- faced names in the room than at any other awards ceremony, not to mention a long list of not- quite- glamorous awards to hand out, the Oscars are a daunting challenge even for skilled performers. It's a stage where many have failed and suffered setbacks in their careers as a result.

Like James Franco and Ann Hathaway in 2011. Oh my gosh, you're all real. [ LAUGH ] Wow. And mixed reviews of his raunchier hosting job did not help Seth MacFarlane in 2013. Hi, I'm Seth MacFarlane and I'll be your host this year for the Oscars. So tweet about it now. Oh that's not how you spell douche. But again NPH is a hosting pro at this point. Couple that with the fact that he's starring in one of the biggest movies of the year and a likely Oscar nominee Gone Girl. And it seems that after years of him being talked about as a possible host, this was the perfect year for it to finally happen.
