[ MUSIC ] Not necessarily. In fact, census data shows that there were more people in their 20s leaving the cities than moving into them recently. So I think that's definitely changing. Homeownership for millennials is up to 32 % of millennials are buying homes, which is up from 28 % a couple years ago. I I think that that myth just has to do with the fact that a lot of us got a little bit of a later start, and we're enjoying this part of our lives, and it doesn't mean that we're going to be stuck here forever. We would like to eventually move out. It's expensive to live in a city. And I think it's a great thing to live in a city when you're young and you can really take advantage of a lot of the culture opportunities.

But when you start having a family that stuff becomes a little less important. So what tends to happen is millennials will stay in the cities while they're single. And when they get married They move out to the suburbs. And the way you know that is two things. One, you can talk to real estate agents who see this happen all the time. And the other is you can look at population growth in the suburbs and when populations shrink in the cities. And you tend to see that adults, once they reach a certain age, tend to move out of cities [ MUSIC ]
