## Transcript

A glimmer of positive news at the end of a violent week in Gaza and Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tells US Secretary of State John Kerry Israel is willing to stop all fighting for 12 hours beginning Saturday morning. Both Hamas and Palestinian officials say they will observe a 12 hour pause in fighting. But they want a longer term solution. 12 hours is nothing. And that means Israel is rejecting cease fire and that is, of course, a problem. The move comes as hope for a week long cease fire faltered. On Friday, Israel's security cabinet rejected a proposed one week humanitarian cease fire which would have allowed officials to safely bring medical supplies into Gaza.

Despite meetings held by Secretary Kerry, UN Secretary General, Ban Ki- Moon, and Egyptian officials. It's unclear what caused the talks to stall. Some are ready to move and others are reluctant and need assurances of one kind or another. Secretary Kerry now heads to Paris Saturday.
