## Transcript

I'm just getting prepared to receive Hurricane Maria. We never felt this kind of category of hurricane, category 5 in like, a lot of years. The people from now don't know what to expect, so we're just gonna wait and just hope for the best. Okay, so this is my neighborhood, this is my home in Puerto Rico. You can see there's storm shutters on most of the houses. Maybe that one a car port. In this neighborhood we only just got electricity back last night. So that was after. I think 13, 14 days after Irma, and we're not expecting it to last very long. Okay, so, this is where the line starts for the gas station.

It's already raining. [ BLANK_AUDIO ] This is my room, I don't have money for the hurricane shutters, so I have to use trash bags to cover my windows. As you can see I have a lot of them in my room, it's very risky for the water to come in. And I've put some towels on the floor, in case water enters, and It's already dark outside so I'm a bit nervous to be frank because I'm alone. But I just stayed because for my dog. I'm a dog lover so I just couldn't leave him here alone so. Come on, say hi. [ SOUND ] He loves kisses. He gets a little bit scared so that's why I'm just gonna stay with him. Right baby?

[ BLANK_AUDIO ] The power just went out. [ BLANK_AUDIO ] The door is open, and all we got is [ UNKNOWN ]. I'm going to try to do my best. [ FOREIGN ] [ FOREIGN ] [ INAUDIBLE ] [ SOUND ] [ FOREIGN ] [ BLANK_AUDIO ] [ BLANK_AUDIO ] Guys, it's 1 PM. As you can see See the electricity pole just fell. It's a lot of damage. The worst is over but there's still a lot of [ INAUDIBLE ] a lot of wind. So here's the backyard. [ BLANK_AUDIO ] Pool almost overflowing, we lost three palm trees. One of them is half in the pool. We lost a bunch of branches. We have debris from other houses And roofs and this is the garage in the back.

I would say that's waist to shoulder height water. It seems to be filled with fuel and raw sewage. The street in the back, this is in Ocean Park, that's Calle Espa a. It's practically a river. I mean, this is seriously disgusting.
