## Transcript

Dov Charney is being terminated. American Apparel announced it suspended the founder and CEO and that Charney will be gone for good in 30 days. The company's board wouldn't give exact details, but said the ousting is due to information discovered through an internal investigation. Charney has long been a headline maker, and American Apparel fought for him in the past. Even coming to his defense when those headlines were about sexual harassment allegations from female company employees or inappropriate behavior at work. I do frequently drop my pants to show people my new product and you know, or that was common.

But it seems whatever this newly discovered info is, it broke the CEO's hoodie wearing back. American Apparel says the company's CFO will replace Charney while it looks for a new CEO. Charney founded the company in 1998. And with sexy ad campaigns, turned simple tees into a thriving business. But in recent years, American Apparel has been plagued by poor sales, seeing its stock price fall. The LA Times notes in 2013, American Apparel reported a net loss of $ 106 million dollars and said in March, it hoped to sell $ 30 million worth of stock to fund debt payments. Now, with its most famous albeit controversial face out, can American Apparel rebound?

Only time or perhaps a neon wrist watch will tell. Thanks for watching. I'm Lauren Zima.
