## Transcript

The last push to get as many people signed up for the Affordable Care Act, is under way. And Thursday saw a not insignificant victory for the White House. As the number of people who signed up, hit the Congressional Budget office's projection of 6 million. But if you haven't signed up and want to, you're running out of time. I think the bottom line is if you do want health insurance you really should go to the website before that deadline Monday, again and get your application going. gov, and can't get it finished by the end of the day. But Money Magazine's Amanda Gengler points out no one's fully explained what that means. We don't exactly how much wiggle room they will be given, maybe a few days, a week. It's a little bit unclear at this point. While it's hard to imagine a worse roll out for healthcare. gov. And experts agree the lingering public image from this fall probably hurt the number of people willing to try to sign up. Many evaluating Obamacare still say it's recovered quite well. Some insurance advisors, like the owner of this agency in Miami, reported people standing in line this month for up to three hours to get insurance.

So the White House hopes signing up online becomes a priority as the deadline nears. Gengler also points out, while hitting 6 million signups likely encouraged the administration, what it actually means for future premiums isn't exactly clear. We'll have to wait and see how many of those folks were uninsured. How many of them are going to pay their premium. At this point, insurers are saying about 20 % of the folks who have signed up have not yet paid that initial premium. We also don't know what their health status looks like. Are they healthier or sicker than average?
