It's been more than two years since we last heard her iconic voice. And now, a Beverly Hills police sergeant claims his comrade disrespected her body, and that he's suffered since he reported what he saw in Whitney Houston's hotel room. Sergeant Brian Weir claims he's been harassed and denied promotions after reporting a colleague made inappropriate comments about Houston's body just hours after her death. Lifted the sheet covering Houston's naked body and then made lewd comments about how good she still looked. Houston's body was found in her hotel bathtub on the weekend of the Grammys in February 2012.

The coroner in Los Angeles County later determined her cause of death was an accidental drowning, though heart disease and cocaine use were also factors. TMZ reports the lawsuit claims Detective Sergeant Terry Nuthall knelt next to Houston, lifted a sheet covering her body, and said, damn, she's still looking good, huh? Sergeant Weir was a member of Beverly Hills PD's SWAT and canine teams. But he says the department removed him from those teams, took away his role as a supervisor, and denied him promotions. Weir's lawsuit seeks unspecified damages and a return to the SWAT and canine teams, positions the suit calls coveted.

When a pre- lawsuit claim was filed last year, a lieutenant with Beverly Hills PD told NBC the department wasn't aware of any inappropriate behavior or comments. Sargent Nutall would be expected to respond to that type of incident, and his supervisor was fully aware that he went to the scene. Houston was 48 years old when she died. Thanks for watching.
